2H7抗体识别CD20，CD20是MS4A蛋白家族中一个~35 kDa的非糖基化1型跨膜蛋白。CD20多肽穿过细胞膜四次，只有一小部分蛋白外露在细胞表面。抗体2H7识别的表位已被定位到位于CD20胞外大环的氨基酸序列YNCEPANPSEKNSPST。CD20在pre-B细胞、静息和活化的B细胞、一些滤泡树突状细胞和一些T细胞亚群上表达。B细胞在分化为浆细胞时会失去CD20表达。通过与包括B细胞受体（CD79）、MHC I类和II类、CD53、CD81和CD82在内的多种蛋白结合，CD20参与启动调控B细胞激活、增殖和分化的细胞内信号通路。CD20被认为形成多亚基离子通道，调节钙离子在质膜上的通量。CD20的激活伴随着~33 kDa载脂蛋白胞质域的明显磷酸化，出现35 - 37 kDa异构体，与Src家族激酶如Fyn、Lck和Lyn相关。

该抗体克隆已被验证可用于评估EasySep™试剂盒（包括EasySep™人全血CD20正选试剂盒（产品号 #18685），EasySep™人CD19正选试剂盒II（产品号 #17854）和EasySep™HLA全血淋巴细胞正选试剂盒（产品号 #18684HLA））分选的细胞纯度。
