5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-phosphate/nitro-blue tetrazolium (BCIP/NBT) is a chromogenic substrate for alkaline phosphatase (ALP) enzyme conjugates that is widely used in ELISpot assays. BCIP/NBT ELISpot Substrate is for use with STEMCELL’s ELISpot antibody pair kits and is supplied in a ready-to-use format. The reaction of BCIP/NBT with ALP enzyme conjugates results in a dark blue-purple precipitate at the bottom of the ELISpot plate wells and forms spots.
