STEMCELL Seminar: Decoding Human Fetal Liver Hematopoiesis

Dr. Rachel Botting describes investigating the process of definitive hematopoiesis in the fetal liver with single-cell RNA sequencing. Dr. Botting, along with her colleagues, used single-cell transcriptome profiling of liver, skin, kidney, and yolk sac cells to create a map of fetal liver hematopoiesis. This work has led to a better understanding of immune diseases and provided a resource for harnessing the therapeutic potential of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and multipotent progenitors(MPPs). This event is part of the STEMCELL Seminar Series and was recorded in our Cambridge, UK office. By inviting local scientists to attend talks from leading researchers, the STEMCELL Seminar Series helps scientists keep current with cutting edge technologies and innovations in their field.
