白介素 11 (IL-11) 是一种多效性细胞因子，作用于多种组织，包括骨髓、脑和肠粘膜 (Du & Williams)。它属于 IL-6 细胞因子家族，具有共同的信号转导元件 gp130。将小鼠骨髓细胞与 IL-11 以及 IL-3、IL-6 和干细胞因子联合培养，可在体外诱导集落形成细胞显著扩增和增殖 (Peters et al.)。此外，IL-11 与 IL-3 联合使用可显著增强体外巨核细胞集落的生长，表明其在增强小鼠巨核细胞生成中发挥作用 (Yonemura et al.)。IL-11 在正常成年小鼠的多种组织中表达，包括中枢神经系统、胸腺、肺和骨骼。利用脂多糖诱导的小鼠胎儿胸腺细胞系T2构建的表达文库，克隆出小鼠 IL-11 cDNA（Morris et al.）。IL-11 与其受体结合后，会诱导与 gp130 亚基的异二聚化，并激活 JAK 酪氨酸激酶。IL-11 还通过诱导上皮癌细胞增殖和远处器官转移细胞的存活，在癌症进展中发挥作用。近年来，IL-11 因其在与 STAT3 上调相关的黏膜稳态失调疾病（包括胃肠道癌症）的发病机制中的作用而备受关注（Putoczki et al.）。

(A) The biological activity of Mouse Recombinant IL-11 was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of B9 cells. Cell proliferation was measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the above example is 107 ng/mL. (B) 1 μg of Mouse Recombinant IL-11 was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Mouse Recombinant IL-11 has a predicted molecular mass of 19.3 kDa.
