血小板衍生生长因子 (PDGF) 家族有五个肝素结合成员，可组装成四个同型二聚体（PDGF-AA、PDGF-BB、PDGF-CC 和 PDGF-DD）和一个异型二聚体（PDGF-AB; Fretto et al.; Li & Eriksson）。PDGF 通过受体酪氨酸激酶 PDGFRα 和 PDGFRβ 发出信号。研究表明，PDGF 诱导的迁移涉及 MEK/ERK、EGFR、Src 和 PI3K/AKT 等信号通路 (Kim et al.)。PDGF 是间充质细胞（例如成纤维细胞、神经胶质细胞和血管平滑肌细胞）的强效丝裂原。 PDGF与动脉粥样硬化、肾小球肾炎、癌症的发病机制以及大鼠主动脉组织血管平滑肌细胞的收缩有关（Fretto et al.; Sachinidis et al.）。PDGF-BB由成骨细胞分泌，可诱导间充质干细胞迁移和血管生成。此外，已有研究表明，PDGF-BB在骨建模和重塑过程中由前破骨细胞分泌，可诱导血管生成，从而促进正常的成骨作用（Xie et al.）。

(A) The biological activity of Mouse Recombinant PDGF-BB was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells. Cell proliferation was measured after 40 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the example above is 0.25 ng/mL. (B) 1 μg of Mouse Recombinant PDGF-BB was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Mouse Recombinant PDGF-BB has a predicted molecular mass of 24.6 kDa (12.4 kDa per monomer).
