粒细胞-巨噬细胞集落刺激因子 (GM-CSF) 促进造血祖细胞的增殖和分化，以及中性粒细胞、嗜酸性粒细胞和巨噬细胞的生成。它与干细胞因子、IL-3、促红细胞生成素和血小板生成素等其他细胞因子协同作用，还能刺激红系和巨核细胞祖细胞的生成 (Barreda et al.)。GM-CSF 由多种细胞类型产生，包括基质细胞、潘氏细胞、巨噬细胞、树突状细胞 (DC)、内皮细胞、平滑肌细胞、成纤维细胞、软骨细胞以及 Th1 和 Th17 细胞 (Francisco-Cruz et al.)。粒细胞集落刺激因子 (GM-CSF) 受体 (GM-CSFR) 由两个亚基组成：细胞因子特异性 α 亚基 (GMRα；CD116) 和与 IL-3 和 IL-5 受体共用的 βc 亚基 (CD131) (Broughton et al.)。GM-CSFR 在造血细胞（包括祖细胞和免疫细胞）以及非造血细胞中表达。GM-CSF 能够刺激树突状细胞 (DC) 的发育，而树突状细胞负责吞噬、加工并将抗原呈递给免疫系统 (Francisco-Cruz et al.)。重组大鼠 GM-CSF 可与小鼠细胞发生反应 (Oaks et al.; Vandenabeele et al.)。

(A) The biological activity of Rat Recombinant GM-CSF was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of FDC-P1 cells. Cell proliferation was measured after 91 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the above example is 0.9 - 1.3 pg/mL.
(B) 1 μg of Rat Recombinant GM-CSF was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Rat Recombinant GM-CSF has a predicted molecular mass of 14.5 kDa.
