成纤维细胞生长因子 18 (FGF-18) 是一种生长因子，属于 FGF 亚家族。FGF-18 与 FGF-8 和 FGF-17 最为相似，分泌于成人肺脏和发育组织中 (Ohbayashi et al.)。FGF-18 通过 FGF 受体 3 (FGFR3) 发出信号，在体内和体外调节关节和生长板软骨细胞的增殖、分化和基质生成 (Davidson et al.)。FGF-18 具有骨骼功能，通过基因表达谱保护关节软骨，并调节小脑中线结构的增殖和分化 (Mori et al.)。此外，重组人 FGF-18 已被证明能有效调节毛发生长（Song et al.）。

(A) The biological activity of Human Recombinant FGF-18 was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of BALB/c 3T3 cells. Cell proliferation was measured using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the example above is less than 10 ng/mL. (B) 2 μg of Human Recombinant FGF-18 was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Human Recombinant FGF-18 has a predicted molecular mass of 20.3 kDa.
