When to use NeuroFluor™ CDr3 versus NeuroFluor™ NeuO?

When to use NeuroFluor™ CDr3 versus NeuroFluor™ NeuO?

Both NeuroFluor™ CDr3 and NeuroFluor™ NeuO are membrane-permeable fluorescent probes for live staining of stage-specific neural cultures. No fixation is required.

The NeuroFluor™ CDr3 (Catalog #01800) should be used to identify primary and pluripotent stem cell-derived neural progenitor cells from different species including but not limited to mouse, rat and human1.

NeuroFluor™ NeuO (Catalog #01801) should be used to identify primary and pluripotent stem cell-derived neurons from different species including but not limited to mouse, rat, human and zebrafish. This probe can be used with in vitro, in vivo and brain slices2.

NeuroFluor™ CDr3 and NeuroFluor™ NeuO can be used together to assess stage-specific neural differentiation in cultures. In-house, we have done this using immunocytochemistry.
