MI15抗体与细胞外表位CD138 (Syndecan-1)反应,CD138 (Syndecan-1)是一种分子量~85 - 95 kDa的1型跨膜糖蛋白,表达于前B细胞、未成熟B细胞、正常和恶性浆细胞(但不表达于成熟循环B细胞)以及非造血细胞(如胚胎间充质细胞、内皮细胞、上皮细胞和神经细胞)的表面。CD138的表达被用作几多种肿瘤的诊断标志物。CD138主要作为一种受体,通过连接细胞外基质和细胞骨架来调节细胞增殖、细胞迁移和细胞-基质关联。附着在CD138上的硫酸肝素和硫酸软骨素部分与多种蛋白质相关联,包括胶原蛋白、纤维连接蛋白、肌腱蛋白、血小板反应蛋白和特定细胞因子。MI15抗体识别与克隆DL-101抗CD138抗体不同的表位,但阻断克隆B-B4的结合。
