碱性成纤维细胞生长因子（bFGF）是成纤维细胞生长因子家族的原型成员。FGF家族中的细胞因子具有广泛的促有丝分裂和细胞存活活性(Folkman & Klagsbrun；Kimelman & Kirschner)，并参与多种生物过程，包括细胞增殖、分化、存活和凋亡(Folkman & Klagsbrun；Klagsbrun;Rifkin & Moscatelli)。bFGF具有β-三叶结构（Ponting & Russell），可结合4个FGF受体（FGFR）家族成员，激活JAK/STAT、PI3K、ERK1/2等人受体酪氨酸激酶（RTK）信号通路。它支持维持未分化的人多能干细胞（Xu et al.; Kang et al.），刺激人多能干细胞形成神经花结（Zhang et al.），促进人间充质干细胞增殖，增强软骨分化（Solchaga et al.）。该版本的bFGF是由人FGF2基因编码的全长bFGF蛋白，由154个氨基酸残基组成。本产品不含动物成分。

(A) The biological activity of Human Recombinant bFGF, ACF was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of NR6R-3T3 cells. Cell proliferation was measured after 48 hours of culture using a fluorometric assay method. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the growth factor at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the example above is 0.0507 ng/mL. (B) 1 μg of Human Recombinant bFGF, ACF was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining.
