白介素7 （IL-7）是I型细胞因子家族的一员，对T细胞和B细胞的发育和存活至关重要。它由胸腺、淋巴器官和骨髓基质细胞中的非造血细胞产生（Lundström et al.）。IL-7结合由共同γ链和IL-7Ra （CD127）组成的受体（IL-7R），并通过JAK/STAT和PI3K通路发出信号。IL-7调节naïve和记忆CD4+和CD8+ T细胞、γδ T细胞、NK T细胞、先天淋巴样细胞和T调节细胞的存活（Carrette & Surh）。尽管缺乏IL-7R仍然允许人产生正常数量的外周B细胞，但用IL-7刺激人B细胞前体可以促进STAT -5依赖性的增殖和体外存活(Clark et al.; Corfe & Paige)。

(A) The biological activity of Human Recombinant IL-7 was tested by its ability to promote the proliferation of PHA-stimulated PBMCs. The EC50 is defined as the effective concentration of the cytokine at which cell proliferation is at 50% of maximum. The EC50 in the above example is ≤ 0.5 ng/mL. (B) 1 μg of Human Recombinant IL-7 was resolved with SDS-PAGE under reducing (+) and non-reducing (-) conditions and visualized by Coomassie Blue staining. Human Recombinant IL-7 has a predicted molecular mass of 17.5 kDa.
